Ses Voltes

It is one of the spaces recovered in the city of Palma for leisure and culture. It was built between 1771 and 1801 under the direction of Manuel Santander, field marshal and engineer, being the last bastion with which the fifth walled enclosure of the city was completed. It is formed by a central courtyard surrounded by walls, with long halls with canyon vaults. This architectural ensemble belongs, since 1985, to the City of Palma and is used as a civic and cultural venue. Its privileged enclave, at the foot of the Cathedral and next to the Parc de la Mar, makes it always very busy.
